Would you like to:
- Verify utility and monthly reports, reconcile utility customer ledgers, verifying calculation amounts are correct, calculate disbursement amounts due.
- Identify and investigate rate discrepancies
- Review and analyze statistical data provided on monthly reports
- Communicate errors or missing data verbally or in writing, serving as initial point of contact for participants.
- Assist the program manager with Utility Clerk Training classes, possibly traveling to remote communities to provide training
- Assist with mass mailings or other correspondence and other duties as assigned
Ideally you have:
- High school diploma, and at least one-year post-secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping and one year of experience in related field.
- Advanced 10-key calculator operational ability
- Ability to interpret, apply and explain Alaska Statutes, and AK Administrative Code as they pertain to the program’s basic requirements
- Knowledge of standard bookkeeping/accounting procedures
