Our client: seeks a self-managed, independent worker to seek out new revenue and help expand the client base of an exciting Anchorage based events management company. The Sales Manager is responsible for local sales and client event coordination, emphasizing sales/events with food and beverage aspects. This is very much a client-interacting role; welcoming the client at the event, managing the event, following up with the client for service evaluation with the goal of repeat business. Would you like to:
  • Retain and expand sales, develop new business, identifying prospects with a preference for food and beverage service.
  • Represent the client to local Anchorage organizations
  • Develop proposals, sales contracts, and monitor compliance
  • Maintain Sales Activity Tracking Report
  • Inform client of building policy and procedure
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Ensure “Meet & Greet” at start of client’s event
  • Provide support to Event Managers and Food and Beverage staff

Ideally you have:
  • Four year’s Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management or Sales/Marketing preferred
  • Five years of event management, sales and/or food/beverage experience in convention hotel/center or hospitality industry preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage sales and/or operations
  • Connections within the local business community
  • Enjoyment of professional interactions with public, clients and staff
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license
